The Hospitaller Brothers of St. John of God administers the St. John of God Special Needs Faith Formation Program, which serves children and adults with special needs in preparing to receive the Sacraments within the Roman Catholic Church. We also offer Family Faith and ongoing Faith Formation to Post Sacrament Children and Adults with Special Needs. Parents and family members of persons with disabilities are invited to participate in Faith Support groups, Retreats and Days of Reflection as well as Pilgrimages throughout the year. Eucharistic liturgies are also offered for persons with disabilities and their families and friends.
About Our Program
St. John of God Special Needs Faith Formation Program is a ministry sponsored by the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God, serving the religious education and spiritual needs of our students and families within the Diocese of Camden.
Our students and families are all affected by special needs/disabilities; therefore, we follow the guidelines set forth by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops under the document titled Guidelines for Celebrating the Sacraments for Persons with Disabilities.
We serve in the manner and tradition of our Founder, St. John of God, therefore, we strive to create an open space where all can worship and celebrate the God of Love.
